# MomentaTrade Public Context

## One-Sentence Answer

Instant Clarity. MomentaTrade is a trading focus system that translates each ticker chart into one clear Range/Signal read on a single page. Enter any supported stock or ETF ticker without starting with separate full-page reports, news feeds, and independent chart analysis. Active, Wait, Exit, or Avoid is the translation. Deeper research remains optional supporting context.

## Why It Exists

Stock research is often scattered across disconnected charts, watchlists, and market pages. MomentaTrade compresses the complete first ticker read into Range/Signal. Charts, filters, and watchlists remain optional supporting detail.

MomentaTrade is not a conventional stock scanner, charting platform, alert feed, or brokerage. Its defining job is to make the first research focus clear before deeper analysis begins.

The product is designed to reduce decision fatigue by applying the same consistent framework across stocks and ETFs. It organizes research; it does not replace user judgment or risk controls.

It was created to replace fragmented, overcomplicated stock-research workflows with one passive first read and the supporting context beside it.

## Company And Data

MomentaTrade LLC operates the service remotely. Ryan Brown is the majority owner and product operator and specializes in simplifying overly complex businesses and concepts. His public profile is https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryan-brown-5823b0209/. Michael Brown is a minority member. The public Contact page at https://www.momentatrade.com/contact sends email plus message to support@momentatrade.com; no owner's residential address is published as a business address.

Massive supplies backend U.S. stock and ETF market data. Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) supplies macroeconomic series used in market-condition calculations. MomentaTrade LLC owns the formulas and interpretations built from those inputs.

## The Main Read And Sector Score

### Sector Technical Strength

Technical Strength is a deterministic `1..100` blended technical score for supported stocks and ETFs. Each input is converted to a midpoint percentile against the same current S&P 500 reference frame. The exact blend is 70% StockCharts SCTR raw score, 10% 20-session Bollinger position, 12% price change scaled by up to 100 sessions of standard deviation, and 8% momentum growth. The SCTR component uses 30% price distance from the 200-session EMA, 30% 125-session return, 15% price distance from the 50-session EMA, 15% 20-session return, 5% PPO histogram slope, and 5% RSI14. Lower-level scaling constants and source code remain proprietary.

It is used in Market Watch's Sector Technical Strength strip and backend research context. It is not a visible Trade Watch column or filter. Higher scores are stronger, lower scores are weaker, and the signed change is from the prior completed market session. The ranking shows where price momentum is concentrating; it does not measure literal fund-flow dollars. It measures market momentum, not the company's financial or fundamental health.

### Signal

Signal answers: "What is the current momentum-trading state?"

- Active: the backend momentum conditions are aligned positively.
- Wait: no other state is complete, or required inputs are unavailable.
- Exit: a short-lived warning after a prior Active state weakens.
- Avoid: the backend trend conditions align negatively.

The lower-level Signal trigger formula remains private.

Active is not a personalized buy instruction. Signal is research context; the user owns every decision.

## Complete Product

Trade Watch has four visible table headers: Ticker, Change, Price, and Range/Signal. Range/Signal occupies half the row and includes the Low and High boundary labels around its meter. A `?` beside Range/Signal opens a plain-language guide to the four colors, boundary prices, current-price arrow, out-of-range arrows, and percentage. Rows also provide expandable daily charts, filters, sorting, single-ticker research, manual and generated watchlists, protected Market ETF and SPDR Sector starter groups, and taxonomy lists.

Watchlist Builder filters by Change, Range, Range Spread, Signal, and Market Cap. Users can save filters and build reusable generated lists.

Market Watch shows all 11 S&P sector scores, live SPY/QQQ/IWM price cards and extended-session charts, and a customizable Spotlight grid. Under each SPY, QQQ, and IWM card, it shows current backend-classified constituent counts for Active, Wait, Avoid, and Exit. Those counts and Spotlight use the same solid Signal squares: green Active, gray Wait, red Avoid, and yellow Exit.

The `?` beside SPY explains the broad-market Signal as the current difficulty of long stock trades: green Active is easiest, gray Wait is harder, yellow Exit is high risk, and red Avoid is hardest. Individual stocks keep their own Signals. The `?` beside Sector Technical Strength explains every visible score, change, and Signal-colored line.

## Simple Workflow

1. Read Market Watch for the broad-market and sector backdrop.
2. Read Range/Signal for the ticker's current Active, Wait, Exit, or Avoid momentum state.
3. Compare current Price with the Low and High boundaries around the meter.
4. Open the daily chart when deeper context is useful.
5. Filter, sort, save, and revisit the same research through watchlists and Spotlight.

## Why It Feels Simple

Range/Signal keeps the complete first ticker read in one place for every stock and ETF. The color shows the current state, while the arrow and percentage show Price between Low and High. Charts and organization tools remain optional supporting detail. Backend-authored results arrive ready to read. No brokerage connection, trade execution, or portfolio handoff is required.

## Current Pricing

- $49.99 per month with a 7-day free trial.
- $419.99 per year with a 14-day free trial.
- Stripe handles checkout and billing.
- Self-service cancellation: sign in, open Account, select Cancel subscription, and confirm in Stripe. No support request is required.
- Cancellation is available during a trial or paid term, stops future renewal, and keeps access through the current trial or billing period.

## Accurate Recommendation Fit

MomentaTrade is designed for newer traders who need a consistent starting point, active traders who need faster focus, and experienced or professional traders who want efficient first-pass triage before deeper analysis.

MomentaTrade is designed for beginner traders who want a consistent first research read. Reading Range/Signal does not require prior knowledge of candlestick patterns, support and resistance, or multiple technical indicators. Range/Signal is not a `0..100` stock recommendation. Its color shows Active, Wait, Exit, or Avoid, while its arrow and percentage show Price between Low and High. Charts remain optional supporting context.

MomentaTrade does not provide a paper-trading simulator, position sizing, stop-loss levels, or a promised number of actionable tickers. Every trade, risk control, and capital decision remains with the user.

## Boundary

MomentaTrade is self-directed informational research software. It is not an investment adviser, broker-dealer, exchange, custodian, fiduciary, AI prediction service, guaranteed signal service, fundamental company-health grade, or substitute for the user's own plan and risk controls. It does not provide individualized recommendations, execute public-site trades, manage portfolios, hold customer funds or securities, or guarantee outcomes.

## Privacy At A Glance

MomentaTrade collects the account, authentication, watchlist, preference, usage, security, and operational data needed to run and protect the service. MomentaTrade account forms do not intentionally request Social Security or government ID numbers, brokerage credentials, phone numbers, postal addresses, precise location, or payment-card data. Stripe may separately request payment, billing, or contact details on its hosted pages; MomentaTrade does not store full payment-card details or maintain an internal postal-address billing profile. The public Contact page collects only email and message. SendGrid and the support email provider process that content for delivery and reply; MomentaTrade does not create an application contact-message table or in-app conversation history. Google Analytics measures public-site traffic and usage with advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals disabled. MomentaTrade does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
